Boiler pressure vessel steel sheet is mainly used to manufacture superheater, main steam pipe and boiler fire chamber heating surface used in hot rolled medium thick plate material. Boiler steel plate is one of the very key materials in boiler manufacturing, mainly refers to the hot rolled special carbon steel and low alloy heat resistant steel medium thick steel material used to manufacture boiler shell, pot drum, box end cover, hanger and other important parts.It includes carbon steel, carbon manganese steel, microalloy steel, low alloy high strength steel and low temperature steel. Operating temperature is generally -20℃ to 500℃, individual up to 560℃. These are mainly 16MnR steel (16 manganese capacity low alloy steel, a type of steel), which is used in the manufacture of ASME code pressure vessels.
16MnDR is a kind of steel plate for cryogenic pressure vessel.
16Mn -- indicates that manganese content in steel plate is about 0.16%, D- indicates low temperature, R- indicates pressure vessel. (Usually, steel with a high content of a certain chemical element needs to be marked in the material, for example, 1.6% manganese is written as 16Mn, 16MnDR is used for -40 degree pressure vessel steel plate.
