〣A36 H Beam

A36 H steel is the American standard carbon structural H steel, according to ASTM A36/A36M. This standard is applicable to riveted, bolted and welded structures for Bridges and buildings, as well as general purpose structural steel quality carbon steel sections, plates and rods. Its chemical composition is: C: ≤0.25, Si≤0.40, Mn: ≤0.80-1.20, P≤0.04, s: ≤0.05, Cu≥0.20 (when specified copper steel). Mechanical properties: Yield strength: ≥250. Tensile strength: 400-550. Elongation: ≥20. The material similar to the national standard A36 is Q235.

Equivalent to Chinese brand Q235. Q235 ordinary carbon structural steel is also known as A3 H Beam.

Q is the yield limit of this material, and 235 is the yield value of this material, which is around 235 mpa. And with the increase of the thickness of the material and its yield value will be reduced, due to the moderate carbon content, better comprehensive performance, strength, plasticity and welding properties are better match, the most widely used

〣Expression method

1, the complete expression method is: Q235-- quality grade symbol · Deoxidation method symbol quality grade is divided into A, B, C, D, E, in order to A grade quality is poor, D grade quality is the highest. The symbols of deoxidation method are F, b, Z and TZ, respectively representing boiling steel, semi-killed steel, killed steel and specially killed steel, but the symbols of Z and TZ can be omitted in the brand representation method.

2. Different grades of Q235A, Q235B, Q235C and Q235D represent different impact temperatures. A means no impact, B is above 20 degrees, C is above 0 degrees, D-20 degrees, A to E, refers to the difference in their performance of the impact temperature.

3, respectively: Q235A, is not required for impact toughness test; Grade Q235B is used for impact toughness test at room temperature (20℃); Grade Q235C is used for impact toughness test at 0℃; Grade Q235D is used for impact toughness test at -20℃.

4, impact toughness test using Charpy V notch specimen. The impact toughness index is Akv. The above grade B, C and D steels are required to reach Akv≥27J under their respective temperature requirements. At different impact temperatures, the impact values are also different.
