Difference between 201 and 304
1, commonly used stainless steel plate is divided into 201 and 304 two kinds of steel, the actual composition is different, 304 quality is better, but the price is expensive, 201 poor some.
2. 201 consists of 17Cr-4.5Ni-6Mn-N, which is a Ni-section steel and a substitute for 301 steel. Magnetic after cold working, used for railway rolling stock.
3. 304 consists of 18Cr-9Ni, which is the most widely used stainless steel and heat-resistant steel. Used in food production equipment, Xitong chemical equipment, nuclear energy, etc.
4. 201 has high manganese content, bright surface with dark brightness, and high manganese content is easy to rust. 304 contains more chromium, the surface is matte, no rust. Difference between 316 and 304
The two most commonly used stainless steel 304,316 (or corresponding to German/European standard 1.4308,1.4408), the main difference between 316 and 304 in the chemical composition is that 316 contains Mo, and it is generally recognized that 316 corrosion resistance is better, than 304 in high temperature environment more corrosion resistance.
